11. People have many wants and make decisions to satisfy those wants. These decisions impact others.
Students will be split into groups and be given the task of cutting down 30 pieces of wood per student so they can build a shelter for their whole group. 1 group can only get the wood by cutting down trees. The other group can get the wood by any means possible, even if it means taking the other group’s wood, or knocking down the other groups house.
After the activity, discussion can be had about how each groups decisions impacted their game play and how it made them feel. Everyone wanted and needed shelter and sometimes to get it, others do not play fair.
