Spatial Thinking and Skills

5. Maps and their symbols can be interpreted to answer questions about location of places.

Students can again continue to explore the in-game map.

When asked, students should be able to tell you where their community is located: “In between the lake and the forest.” They should also be able to explain what features the map has that let them know that area is how they describe.

Students can also talk about if they are traveling to the top of the map, if they are traveling down, to the left, right or up, etc.

Finally, students should still be able to identify landforms they see on the map.
