4. Physical and political maps have distinctive characteristics and purposes. Places can be located on a map by using the title, key, alphanumeric grid and cardinal directions.
This one uses the in game map, but not in the game. Students should get a screenshot of the map and print it out. Then students should add a compass to their map and label the North, South, East and West directions on the compass. They can then label all of the areas on the map. They can give lakes, mountain ranges and communities name labels on their map as well.
Students should also be able to identify if they have created a political or physical map.
