12. People have modified the environment since prehistoric times. There are both positive and negative consequences for modifying the environment in Ohio and the United States.
This is a pretty easy activity to complete. Have students take a screenshot of the environment where they want to building their community. Students can begin to build their community and take screenshots as they progress. They should try and take the shot from the same location every time. They should begin to see trees missing, land looking different, their home developing, etc., over time.
The students will also use the screenshots they have collected and can compare and contrast what is the same and different since they began their community building. They should be able to list any natural changes vs. changes that they made to the environment.
